Arthur R. Jackson is the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
and Adjunct Associate Professor at The University of North Carolina at
Charlotte
. He is currently responsible for the budget
of $ 37 million and 360 professional and support personnel. Prior to this position, he was Vice President
of Student Affairs at Westfield State College (MA) and Norfolk State University
(VA). Dr. Jackson has over twenty years
of experience at research extensive universities including thirteen years at
the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he served as Director of
Financial Aid Services. He was responsible for over 51 million dollars of funds
in that position.
Dr. Jackson has also been a professor in the area of
multicultural education and higher education administration for the past
seventeen years. He has lectured at such institutions as
Brown
University
,
Syracuse
University
,
Central
Connecticut
State
University
,
Cornell
University
, and the
University
of
Maryland
at
College Park
. He has also been a guest lecturer at over
twenty five colleges and universities nationwide in the area of multicultural
education and student leadership.
He has also been awarded the Distinguished Accomplishment
and Pillar of the Profession Awards by the National Association of Student
Personnel Administrators
